For me, sticking my nose in a glass of tequila often just smells like, well, tequila—or bourbon, or whatever I happen to be drinking. Don’t get me wrong, there are rare moments when I catch a specific scent, but those moments are few and far between. The same goes for tasting. I don’t experience an elaborate parade of flavors marching across my palate, neatly filing in line to be identified and named. Instead, I catch the most obvious notes—the ones that shout rather than whisper.
Take a bottle of tequila, for instance. Sometimes, I like it, but I can’t always put my finger on why. Maybe it’s the buttery mouthfeel, or perhaps it’s the bold “agave bomb” that explodes with every sip. Either way, I enjoy it, even if I can’t dissect it like a sommelier on a mission.
And that’s the whole point of this website. I’m here to share my honest, straightforward thoughts on what I’m tasting. No pretension, no overly complicated tasting notes—just a guy trying to figure out what makes a bottle worth pouring again. Along the way, I hope to entertain you and maybe help you discover a few bottles you’ll love too. Because at the end of the day, tequila is about enjoyment, not overthinking. So let’s sip, share, and find happiness in a good bottle together.o WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start writing!
