Quintelaza Tequila Reposado Tequila Review

Quintaleza Reposado Finished in Coffee Barrels: The Buzzed Experiment

Whew—this one’s wide awake.

Right out of the gate, Quintaleza slams the coffee button and doesn’t look back. We’re talking espresso machine revving at full throttle, pulling shots straight into your tequila glass. Cooked agave shows up too, like, “Hey guys, remember me?”—but it kind of gets steamrolled by the coffee train.

There’s some chocolate hanging out near the end, probably hoping no one notices it was late to the party. But it works. Sort of like a mocha that forgot it was a tequila.

Now, let’s get this out there: I don’t like coffee. Not in mugs, not in ice cream, and definitely not usually in booze. But this? This surprised me. It’s not terrible. I’m not pouring it down the sink. In fact, I kinda respect it.

Ironically, my wife—who would bathe in cold brew if she could—took one sip and gave me a face like I’d served her burnt toast on purpose. So maybe the coffee-forward thing is stronger for folks like me who don’t love coffee. Go figure.

Quintaleza, props to you. This is bold, creative, and definitely not phoning it in. You’re out here blending coffee and agave like some kind of caffeinated agave scientist. Not every experiment is a home run, but I’d rather see swings like this than another boring, safe release.
