Cazcanes No. 9 Rosa Reposado

Candy Shop Meets Agave—And I’m Here for It

This is my first dip into the Cazcanes lineup, and if this is a preview of what’s ahead… then buckle up, taste buds. We’re in for a ride. Because this bottle? It’s flat-out delicious.

Flavors of caramel, chocolate, and butterscotch swirl together like they just got back from a dessert convention. My notes even say “Werther’s Original”—which, yeah, I stand by. It’s got that smooth, creamy sweetness that makes your eyes close for a second so you can focus on the moment. There’s also a little bourbon vibe sneaking in, like this reposado borrowed a leather jacket and started hanging out with whiskey on weekends.

But don’t mistake it for a one-trick pony. Underneath the candy shop swirl is solid cooked agave—like the sweet talker at the party who also happens to have a PhD. It’s well-balanced, rounded, and just interesting enough to keep you coming back for another pour.

From the very first sip, I was hooked. And then it hit that rare level where I stopped mid-pour, looked at my wife, and said, “You need to try this.”

Her verdict? Total approval. And when she likes something, I know it’s got crossover appeal—it’s not just for agave nerds like me. It’s for everyone.

Cazcanes, you’ve got my attention now. I feel like I just watched the pilot episode of what’s about to be my new favorite show. I don’t know where the series goes from here, but I’m all in for season one.
