2022 Tequila Ocho Blanco Cerro Del Gallo

2022 Tequila Ocho Cerro Del Gallo

Citrus. Crisp. Clean. Mahvelous. Ocho.

You remember those old 7UP commercials? Geoffrey Holder, in that silky smooth voice, calling it the “Uncola,” talking about citrus and freshness like he was narrating a perfume ad? “Mahvelous.” Well, forget lemon-lime soda—this is the citrus bomb you want fizzing through your senses.

Tequila Ocho’s 2023 Blanco from the Cerro Del Gallo estate comes in zesty, bright, and clean—like a freshly sliced lime cannonballed into your glass. There’s orange. There’s lime. There’s cooked agave anchoring the whole experience so it doesn’t fly off into mimosa territory. It’s crisp. It’s fresh. It’s… dare I say it… mahvelous.

Every year, Ocho gives us four different estate-grown Blancos—each one a single estate harvest, kind of like vintage wine but for agave nerds. Cerro Del Gallo is the winner of the 2022 lineup. If you’re not collecting all four, what are you doing with your life?

Special shout-out to Del Mesa Liquor for actually telling us which estate we’re drinking—because honestly, that info should be on every product page like it’s the NOM number.

Bottom line: This isn’t your average Blanco. It’s a sharply dressed, citrus-splashed sip that walks in, winks at your palate, and leaves you wanting another pour. 4.5 tequila glasses. Mahvelous, indeed.
