Hey there! I’m Steve Hart—husband, father, tequila enthusiast, and all-around spirits nerd. I’m 53, happily married to my best friend and 5th-grade sweetheart, Stacey, and together we have three amazing kids.
My journey into the world of spirits started about five years ago when I fell hard for bourbon. And I mean hard—at one point, I had nearly 300 bottles. The kicker? I open everything I buy. But about three years ago, my curiosity led me to tequila. At first, I just wanted to understand it—to figure out why the stuff we all slammed in college (you know the routine: lick it, suck it, slam it) wasn’t real tequila. (That phrase should be wiped from existence, by the way.) At first, tequila was tough for me—not because it was bad, but because I didn’t get it. Lucky for me, my neighbors did, and they helped me learn to appreciate it. Fast forward to today: I own over 100 bottles, I’ve launched a website, and I’ve officially lost my mind.

My reviews—straightforward, a little funny, and hopefully entertaining. I’m not going to drown you in endless tasting notes or floral nonsense. I like it, or I don’t. It’s as simple as that. And here’s the deal: I only review additive-free tequilas—the way tequila is meant to be.
